Things To Do In
The Kingdom Of Fife, Scotalnd
Fife is a fantastic place to visit, with many old harbour villages along the north shore of the Firth of Forth. Dysart is one such village; Dysart was created a royal burgh before Kirkcaldy, to which it is now combined. The royal charter was granted by James V in 1535.
The harbor dates from the 1450s and the town has seen industries come and go. From salt pans on the shore to coal to trade with the Baltic countries to ship building.
A number of old buildings remain and have been restored in recent years and the seafront at the Pan Ha is a pleasant viewing point. Dysart is within easy reach of the fishing villages of the 'East Neuk' of Fife, the wonderful Falkland Palace and not to mention the many attractions of the capital city of Scotland - Edinburgh.
